YOUTH CENTER FOR CHILDREN

Welcome

My name is Dorean Davis-Webb, I represent The Rowland Youth Club of Pike County Pennsylvania. I am asking for your help in funding for my nonprofit organization. There are no youth organizations in this area to help the children of the community. I am trying to start an after school program and community center that will deter them from drugs and other deviant behavior. I have spoken to

teachers and healthcare workers that will volunteer their time to ensure that this will be a successful program. Some of the programs that will be provided are as followed: Music, Dance and Some sporting events(such as training and tournaments). There will also be Drug counseling, Birth control and sex education. These classes will be conducted by qualified individuals and with parental consent.

I have lived in this community for ten years and have watched the community change there are mor3e and more inner city children moving into the are and they have no where to go and nothing to do. Some of these children bring along with them some bad habits that they live with on a daily basis because of the lack of options and very little supervision. I am trying with the help of concerned individuals like you to give the children of the community options, a place to go with constructive and positive things to do. The youth of today are the future of tomorrow and I also feel that it is our responsibility as parents and as adults to see that our children have the advantages and guidance that we can provide. I hope that this letter has given you a clear picture of what I'm trying to do and that you also see the need for such a program. I truly appreciate you for taking the time to read this letter and hope that you will contribute to my organization. We also plan to obtain financial support through fundraisers.
